NoBS Movies is free and supported by a restrained banner ad. We do not sell your personal information or require an account. This page explains the limited data used to provide movie results, reminders, and advertising.
Who we are
NoBS Movies is published by Daniel Shepherd, an individual developer based in the United States. You can reach us at martin.shepherd8367@gmail.com for any privacy questions.
What we collect
Very little. Specifically:
Your selected streaming services and reminders. Stored locally on your device. NoBS Movies does not require or provide an account.
Your search queries are sent through our proxy to the Streaming Availability API (operated by Movie of the Night LLC) so we can look up where each movie streams. We don't intentionally store your search history.
Advertising data. Google Mobile Ads may process IP address, device or other identifiers, app interactions, diagnostics, and ad interaction data to deliver, measure, secure, and prevent fraud in advertising. Ad requests from NoBS Movies default to non-personalized. Google may still use contextual information and limited identifiers for ad delivery, measurement, and fraud prevention.
Crash reports and basic usage stats. Apple and Google provide aggregated reports on app installs, crashes, and revenue. We use these to fix bugs. We do not collect personally identifying analytics.
What we do NOT collect
We do not collect your name, email, phone number, or address through the app.
We do not collect your contacts, photos, location, microphone, or camera.
We do not use your app activity for cross-app tracking, and we do not add analytics or fingerprinting SDKs.
We do not sell your data. Ever.
Who we share data with
RapidAPI / Movie of the Night receive your search queries (movie titles only) so they can return streaming availability. They do not receive any information about you personally.
Google Mobile Ads provides the banner ad and may process the advertising data described above under Google's policies. Learn more about how Google uses information from partner apps.
Apple / Google Play may provide aggregated install, crash, and store performance reports under their own privacy policies.
We do not sell personal information to data brokers. Advertising data is processed by Google as described above.
How long we keep data
Reminders and service selections: until you delete them or uninstall the app.
Search queries: we do not intentionally retain them in the app. Infrastructure providers may keep short-lived security logs under their own retention policies.
Advertising data: retained by Google according to its policies and the consent/privacy choices available in the app.
Children
NoBS Movies is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect any data from them. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we'll delete it.
Your rights
If you live in California, the EU, or another region with data protection laws, you have the right to:
Access the data we hold about you
Correct or delete it
Use the in-app “Ad privacy choices” control when a privacy-options form is available in your region
File a complaint with your local data protection authority
Email us and we'll handle it within 14 days.
Changes to this policy
If we change anything material, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top and provide an appropriate in-app notice.
